Il 03 Febbraio 2015 si è svolta presso le vie del comune di Agrigento una manifestazione che ha visto circa un migliaio di cittadini protestare contro i recenti scandali legati alle sedute “fantasma" della giunta comunale venute fuori dall’inchiesta del giornalista Mario Giordano sulla prima pagina del quotidiano “Libero”. Sono 1.133 le riunioni tenute dalle sei commissioni consiliari del comune dal primo gennaio al 15 dicembre 2014; una media di tre incontri al giorno, sabati, domeniche e festività incluse con un gettone di presenza di 50,34 euro a consigliere, per un totale di circa 300.000 euro di sperpero di denaro pubblico. La città infatti si trova all’ultimo posto negli indici di vivibilità in Italia e fa fronte quotidianamente a gravi problemi legati alla malgestione della cosa pubblica. La notizia richiama l’attenzione della stampa e dei media nazionali ma corre anche sul web e sui social networks. Proprio dai social nasce il gruppo #AGRIGENTOMANIFESTA e lo slogan #NoiSiamoAltro che raccoglie in pochi giorni migliaia di iscritti e che coinvolge anche agrigentini che vivono in varie parti del mondo ma che hanno ugualmente voluto far sentire la loro vicinanza attraverso l’invio di centinaia di foto diventate poi il wall della manifestazione. La protesta ha attraversato la via Atenea (arteria principale della città), seguita dalle telecamere della RAI, per poi approdare davanti la piazza sede del Municipio dove si sono alternati interventi di cittadini e dichiarazioni rilasciate alla trasmissione “Ballarò” che ha seguito in diretta l’evento.

On 03 February 2015, an event was held in the streets of the town of Agrigento that saw about a thousand citizens protesting the recent scandals related to the "ghost" sessions of the city council that came out of the journalist Mario Giordano's investigation on the front page of the "Libero" newspaper: 1,133 meetings held by the six council commissions of the municipality from January 1 to December 15, 2014, an average of three meetings a day, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays included with a token of € 50.34 per adviser, for a total of about 300,000 euros of waste of public money. In fact, the city is in last place in the index of livability in Italy and faces daily serious problems related to the malgestion of public affairs. The news draws the attention of the press and national media but also runs on the web and on social networks. The group #AGRIGENTOMANIFESTA and the slogan #NoiSiamoAltro is born right from the social networks. It collects thousands of subscribers in a few days and it also involves the inhabitants of Agrigento who live in various parts of the world but who also wanted to make their proximity felt by sending hundreds of photos then become the wall of the event. The protest has crossed the street Atenea (main artery of the city), followed by the cameras of the RAI, and then landed in front of the Town Hall Square where they alternated interventions of citizens and statements issued to the broadcast "Ballarò" that followed live the event.
